A typical (well, sort of) heads up that a site will be under heavier load, and our minimal (very minimal) scaling precautions using Drupal's standard features.

Hey fellow media revolutionaries, I just wanted to let you know we'll
see an increased load on http://saveournet.ca today and likely for the
next couple weeks. I just launched a campaign.

It could be very big, but I've been known to over estimate this stuff.

At any rate please take any extra precautions you can to avoid a crash
in the middle of the campaign etc...

I turned on page caching for anonymous users for the site, and set the minimum cache lifetime to 5 minutes.

This means that new content you add could take up to 5 minutes to show up for visitors. If that's too long for this campaign let us know.
